THE SEARCH FOR THE EVERLASTING
For years, we were searching for a fragrance that could do the impossible: last through the intensity of an indian day without fading out. If you have ever worn a perfume and watched it vanish by noon, you know the frustration. We looked and looked and looked, testing formulas that promised much but delivered little.
Then, we had a realization. To create something that lasts, we need to look at something that has already stood the test of time.
THE INSPIRATION: AN UNCHANGING CULTURE
Not in France or China, we found our answer in Assam.
We looked toward a state that has been filled with a deep cultural heritage for centuries, a land of ancient mystique and raw, untamed nature. Assam is a place where values are upheld with an unyielding spirit, and the culture remains unbroken by the shifting tides of the world. It is a culture that is inherently lasting.
We asked ourselves: how do we create a fragrance that embodies this unshakeable spirit?

THE HUNT FOR THE ESSENCE
To match the essence of this story, we began searching for ingredients native to the soil of assam. We knew standard, imported oils wouldn’t suffice. We searched for local botanicals, found promising candidates, but we hit a wall, we failed to extract them. The raw materials resisted every standard method; the extracts were either too volatile or lost their soul during the process.
We refused to give up. We began our search again, traveling deeper into the heart of the northeast.
THE DISCOVERY IN UPPER ASSAM
In the remote regions of upper Assam, with the invaluable guidance of a local tribal community, we finally found them: these beautiful, mysterious flowers hiding in plain sight. A black orchid with no name in any perfume catalogue, but a chemical structure unlike anything we had ever seen.
The tribal elders understood the plant’s resilience. It was built to survive the heat. We took our samples back to the lab, but finding the flower was only the beginning.

6 MONTHS OF INTENSIVE RESEARCH
We spent the next half-year in a cycle of sampling and testing.
- Months 1–3: we developed a specialized low-temperature extraction process to capture the orchid’s deep, smoky-floral character without burning off the longevity.
- Months 4–5: we tested multiple formulations. Eleven blends were rejected because they didn’t meet our standard of “everlasting.”
- Month 6: finally, the formulation held. We locked it in at an unprecedented 38–45% concentration.
After six months of intensive research, we had achieved the “72-hour anomaly.”
